Annual
Annual plants are plants that have a seed-to-seed cycle that can be achieved within the space of a single year. This means that they go from seed to germination to reproduction to finally seed production within a few short months. For some of these plants these seed-to-seed cycle can take as little as five weeks, although most take several months to reach the end of their cycle.

Annual plants come in two different types, these types are:
Summer annual plants are plants that go through their life cycle (that's seed-to-seed) in the warmer months in a year. Examples of this type of plant are crab grass, etc. These plants start to germinate spring and most of them will not finish their life cycle until early or late summer.
Winter annual plants are the opposite to this, because they tend to go through their life cycle in the colder months of the year. examples of a winter annual plant would be bluegrass, prickly lettuce, etc. Winter annual plants tend to start to germinate in autumn and conclude their life cycle in winter.
